On the local news yesterday, DPM Dr Puka Temu announced that there will be interim arrangements done for Jiwaka and Hela Provinces today.

I hope these arrangements will be done in the best interest of these two provinces.

Oh Yeah Baby Yeah...we are home JIWAKA!

Banga all the Wal Weis....

Sorry folks...I ve been out of touch with this site for a while. You know being a working man, I hardly find time to write here. Besides I m using a crap line and the speed at which these pages appear sometimes drives me up the wall and the interest on this site died with me.......UNTIL....a few weeks ago I just found the energy and my adrenaline was shooting through the roof. I had reason to be over the moon.

Well you guess it. Thats when Jiwaka was given the nod to be on its own self governing province. It took us a slow battle and after 30 years destiny was created for us. When the province was declared, I got some email from the Parliament engine room like after 5 minutes and yeah baby yeah...Jiwaka you yet kam na lukim!

Well for those of you living in Port Moresby, there is going to be one hell of a celebration at UPNG Drill Hall this Saturday 1st August 2009. All the tribes and clans of Jiwaka living in POM are doing their preparation for this occassion. From my understanding all Sengloves will do their preapartions at Godfrey Yeruas place, all Danges and Nondgul folks will have theirs at Tony Kapils place, the Minj will have theirs at the 4 mile block. I will update what others do tomorrow. There is a general Jiwaka meeting on Tomorrow Wednesday at Godrey's place to sort all these logistics for Saturday.

This is the update. I certainly have a million reasons to update yous so what happening around Town and Jiwaka areas.

Recounting of WHP Regional Ballots

Just in case you are not aware, the recounting of votes has been moved from Kapal Haus to Kiminiga police barracks, according to the National. The preliminary counts have been done already and they are probably going to do the second counts etc. However the national court has ordered that all counting be done with the elecronic counter and this is a major setback for the elcectoral officials. They cannot revert to the elctronic counting as all first counts were done manually. Lets wait and see.

Arrests over Kapal Haus

Two more suspects in the Kapal Haus were arrested. This brings the number up and it seems like lots of people were involved.

I assume people will come forward with the information and hope the responsible authorities deliver what these backward aronists deserve.

On that note, Tom Olga is trying to disband the police personnel dealing with the inquiry. He has asked Sani Rambi, the Police Minister to effect this decison. I think on this part, Tom Olga is a amaetuer and is still learning the ropes of being in a public office.

I havent heard anything on the recounting of WHP votes but if you hear anything let me know so i can post the information.

Whagi Mek Plantations

The Government has allocated K20 miilion to revive the planations and will sell them back to the landowners....or some kind of arrangement very close to that according to the former MD Dick Hagon.

The process of releasing funds etc was supposed to have started today Tuesday but people are kind of tied up with the Melbourne Cup so it will happen tomorrow.

I m not sure about the arrangement but at least this issue will be put behind and we will have to look at other important things like getting our province etc.

The government is really thinking about giving our province quickly and this means we have to have our infrstructure and and our economic base in order. Reving Whagi Mek is a step in that direction.

Recounting of WHP Regional Ballots

Hi Folks

The recounting of the votes for the WHP Provincial was supposed to have happened yesterday but didnt. The Recounting boss wanted to put finishing touches to the counting centre so the counting will kick off at 9am today and will take about 42 days.

So as precautionary measure, use your common sense and dont roam aimlessly around the thug infested Hagen Town.

Toksave tasol.
